COSMYX EQUIPS THE FRENCH GROUND FORCES WITH 3D PRINTERS

Cosmyx proudly announces the delivery of more than one hundred 3D printers to the Structure Intégrée du Maintien en Condition Opérationnelle des Matériels Terrestres (SIMMT – Integrated Structure for the Operational Maintenance of Land Equipment).

Cosmyx has signed a strategic contract with SIMMT for the supply of professional 3D printing equipment. This collaboration, formalized at the end of 2024, represents a significant milestone for our company and strengthens our position in the Defense market.

For several months, Cosmyx has been supplying Super Nova Dual-head printers to the French Ground Forces as part of the Maintien en Condition Opérationnelle (MCO – Operational Maintenance) of their equipment. Featuring a patented kinematic system, these 3D printers with two independent extruders enable multi-material printing, a key advantage for producing parts tailored to the specific requirements of military equipment.

Operational maintenance of military equipement

This contract, resulting from a tender issued in July 2024 by SIMMT, aims to deploy these 3D printers across French Ground Forces regiments for the production of essential spare parts. The objective is to enhance the armed forces’ self-sufficiency in maintenance and repair, while reducing the costs and lead times associated with parts production.

After winning the strategic contract from the Direction de la Maintenance Aéronautique (DMAé – Directorate of Aeronautical Maintenance) last in May, this order represents a new milestone for Cosmyx in its commitment to national defense.

The agreement aims to equip every regiment and organization of the French Ground Forces with FDM 3D printers, enabling each unit to benefit from cutting-edge technology capable of addressing logistical and operational challenges in the field.
